First UnEdited Video + First Edited Video
Unedited
At this stage, we had uploaded a few of our clips onto the programme, and only removed the original volume. We hadn't cropped the clips to keep the best part of them, or cut out the shaking from the camera.
Edited
This video is our first part of edited filming put together with music. We have chosen specific clips with the best quality and steadiness, and cropped them to cut out parts where our model isn't singing or has dropped from character. We have also slow- motioned some of our clips to create a sense of atmosphere. At this stage, our music doesnt fit in time with our clips as we needed more filming to vary our scenes.
Filming Stage 3
On the weekend just gone, we completed our last stage of filming. After reflecting on our other stages of filming we knew that our aim for this video was to film our model singing the chorus with the lip syncing in perfect time. After getting feedback from a group of people in our target audience we knew we had to change our video around so that we had performance during the chorus and narrative through the rest, as our audience expected to see a change when the music changed but with the order of our video at the moment they don't. During our next editing phase, we are going to change our order around and show a clear change between narrative and performance.

Ancillary Task 2, mock-up
This is our blank mock-up of our magazine advertisement for our second ancillary task. After previous research into magazine advertisements we want to include everything that they include to sell/promote our artist. We are going to include, critics reviews, star ratings, awards, record labels, quotes from reviews and a main image of the artist to entice the audience, either a new image or one that links to ancillary task 1, to show a connection between the artists products.

Audience Feedback
We have shown our audience what we have edited on our video so far, and asked what they thought of it. The feedback we got was that the quality of the videos are very good, the colour is bright and the editing with slow-mo creates a very atmospheric feel. However, when the music gets to the chorus, they expect to see the model singing and she doesnt, even though she sings elsewhere, they expected to see some change in the video during the chorus. During our previous stages of filming we have had trouble with our model singing in time to the music. Her singing seems to be out of time to the actual song, so during our next stage of filming we are going to get our model to sing the chorus fully three times. As thats how many times it appears in the song and then this allows us alot of filming to cut when editing.

Filming part 2 and Clips
This weekend me and my partner Laura did our second part of filming, whilst we had our model in our outfits and hair styled we took some photographs of her, incase we wanted to use them for our ancillary tasks.
I used a high angle shot aiming down against our model, we positioned her sitting on a tree trunk log, with the guitar leanin against her. I dont like this photo as I think the angle isnt very well positioned as the guitar isnt really in it the models posture looks quite uncomfortable and we can see she is wearing socks rather than shoes and it doesnt look very professional.
This photograph is similar however I have used a medium shot of the model. In my photos the model didn't have direct eye contact with the camera because my partner was also taking photos and we wanted different angles to see which we liked best. We think that when the model isnt looking at the camera it looks more natural and unposed which is the type of appeal we want to create of our genre and model however I dont think the artist is portrayed as powerful and influencing as a role model when she hasnt got direct eye contact.
For these two photographs we composed our shot in a different setting, with our model standing in between the corner of a fence painted blue and left brown, We feel the unpainted fence gives character and shows a rustic look which appears quite quirky. For these photos, we changed our models hairstyle into a neat bn with flowers around her hair, we did this to give more style to the photos.
These two photographs, were taken on my partner Lauras camera, she edited them with a green filter creating subdued colour tones to the pictures. I like the unblemished appearance of the models skin making them look more proffessional.

Editing
This is a screengrab of three clips in our editing process, of how they fit into our song with the lyrics.
From our first stage of filming, we have started putting together our clips into an order with our song.
But as we still have more filming and editing to do, and have only just begun piecing our video together, we expect our order will completely change.

Filming part 2
This weekend, me and my partner Laura are planning to film our second stage of our music video. Looking back on our first stage of filming, we have learnt that we need to use a tripod to steady the camera movements, we have also planned to film our model singing the full song completely so we have lots of material to work with when editing. We also think transitioning our scenes between the same scene of our model singing and then alternating scenes of narrative will create a professional appeal to our video.
From the beginning we had planned to use three locations, one in the meadows, one in a pub/cafe and one in a bedroom, however the use of public spaces to film is extremely difficult as we have had problems getting permission, and the lighting in the particular bedrooms we have access to, is not so good. Therefore we have decided to use the meadows as our only location for filming, however there are many different scenes at this setting that we can use. For example, the bridge, in long grass, under trees, in the woods and in the river.
